This primary was the worst coverage ever by all media outlets. It was unfair to the Clinton family. Now the Democrats have a weak and inexperienced nominee because of the sexist views of Senator Clinton and the poor biased reporting favoring Senator Obama.

I won't miss reading another treatise by a man or woman, of the left or right, who says that sexism has had not even a teeny-weeny bit of influence on the course of the Democratic campaign. To hint that sexism might possibly have had a minimal role is to play that risible "gender card."

Most of all, I will not miss the silence.

I will not miss the deafening, depressing silence of Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean or other leading Democrats, who to my knowledge (with the exception of Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland) haven't publicly uttered a word of outrage at the unrelenting, sex-based hate that has been hurled at a former first lady and two-term senator from New York.

Among those holding their tongues are hundreds of Democrats for whom Clinton has campaigned and raised millions of dollars. Don Imus endured more public ire from the political class when he insulted the Rutgers University women's basketball team.

Would the silence prevail if Obama's likeness were put on a tap-dancing doll that was sold at airports? Would the media figures who dole out precious face time to these politicians be such pals if they'd compared Obama with a character in a blaxploitation film? And how would crude references to Obama's sex organs play?

There are many reasons Clinton is lost the nomination contest, some having to do with her strategic mistakes, others with the groundswell for "change." But for all Clinton's political blemishes, the darker stain that has been exposed is the hatred of women that is accepted as a part of our culture.

This has been a disgrace for Democrats and to date the DNC had minimal remarks about the issue. They should be outraged.
I am saddened and angry. My entire community will not be voting for Obama this November.

I feel that what this Primary did for all of us women is demonstrate the real underlying bias and prejudice that all women face. It proved that a man of any color has more privledge than a woman. We should have known that but now we have evidence from every corner desk of the media. Some women could afford to ignore it. Some thought that they were the only ones. The evidence is clear, we are lucid, and now we must take our task masters to task. "Women's work is never done." We all need to clean the House now.

I thought supporting Clinton in the primary was hard, but refusing to support Obama is harder. My intelligence has been questioned, I have been called names, and I have met open hostility. Not to mention the accusation that I am racist.

It's all very clear now. If Hillary is on the ticket, vote for the ticket. If Hillary is not on the ticket, don't vote for the presidential slot. If another woman is on the ticket, vote for McCain. If Hillary doesn't get the roll call and everything else that is her due at the convention, abandon the Democratic party and become a more independent voter. The viciousness displayed towards Hillary has opened our eyes and now we need to stop giving our support to those who did this.

well I was at on time a democrat, but after the primaries I have decide to switch to the independent party reason being I don't respect a party that pressured the only reasonable candidate out for an incompitent inexperienced nobody, with no knowledge of what it take to be president, we were sold a bill of worthless goods, I knew that when Hillary won New Hampshire and the attack on Bill in S.Carolina being a racist began the crap was going to fly, the Obama people knew if they could damage the Clinton image with the black voters, they could launch there campaign againt them the liberal press had a scapegoat in Bill and a way to stop the momentom for Hillary, along with the DNC the sloboating of Clinton was underway, the liberal media and the DNC was on the move to defeat her any way they could, but when she couldn't be stopped winning those key states the pressure was on to get her out of the race, never in political was any candidate ask nor pressured to quit when in a tie race, but the DNC did and every liberal machine at there disposal, the bombardment against her was greater than any presidential campaign in history, the word stop Hillary was the battle cry, so when they say gender wasn't a factor then you dumb and blind, yes the race card was played, as a scare tactic that the blacks would riot if there messiah wasn't nominated, a ploy not all black were or are for Obama, though they say 90% of the black vote is for, then why is Obama chasing after the white and latino vote so hard, well the black are only 16% compared to the combined vote of white and latinos, so i'm becoming an independent to vote for whom ever I chose, but it ain't Obama

I truly believe that Hillary was the most capable candidate who has offered her self for president in my life time. I cannot forgive the leadership in the National Democratic party for the way they salivated over Obama & ignored hugh wins for Hillary. As of today McCain & Obama are tied & I for one, am quite pleased about this. I do not believe that McCain will be another Bush. I think that he is an independent & a patriot & he has my vote.

African-American Man Who Does Not Support Barack Obama
Posted by POC PUMA at 7/29/2008 7:14 AM and is filed under uncategorized
Most of my fellow African-Americans support Barack Obama, but I am in the growing crowd of dissenters. I have been called insane, irrational, ridiculous, jealous, misguided...[list can go on and on] But, I will not back down. I have heard many stories of whites who are not Obama supporters being called racists. This "racist" cry is getting very old, and is loosing its punch. Obama supporters will, one day, grasp that people have rational justifications for not supporting Barack Obama, even when people like Oprah Winfrey consider him "The One."

There is nothing irrational about having the issues noted below (not an exhaustive list) with the Democratic Party's leadership and their candidate of choice.

1. Nomination process was flawed (should have had a re-vote in FL and MI, plain and simple)
2. Democratic Party's leaders were quick to attack racism in the campaign, but not sexism (women comprise a huge slice of America)
3. Barack Obama is just too inexperienced (will someone please reveal his Illinois State Senate records?)
4. Barack Obama's associations are troublesome (Wright, Ayers, Phleger, etc.)
5. Barack Obama's changing positions are troublesome (Iraq war, FISA, gun rights, welfare reform, etc.)

Well, I said it, and hope there will be no gnashing of teeth because of my words.

I assume the moderator will not approve this comment, but if you are successful and Obama loses because former Clinton voters stay home or vote for McCain, Hillary will not benefit in 2012. Instead if seeks the nomination she will be faced with a strong Anybody But Hillary movement who will take out their opposition to your campaging on Hillary. Frankly she deserves better.

though I'm for Hillary as president today and in 2012, I cannot in good faith be a part of electing this farse the DMC and the liberal media is trying to seel the american people who hasn't a clue to what he is saying other tha what is on the scripts an liberal retoric he espouses, to me he is incompitent inexperienced, and a smooth talking machine of the liberal establishment,he hasen't a clue about wha makes a president or how to run a country, if he is elected in four year we will be worst of tan we are now his tac and spend policies will bankrupt the economy worst than any president we've ever had till now.

there is a point when you refuse to hear any more scripted talk from candidate like Obama who is the so called master of scripts,I have a motto ( more facts and less script,) when you listen to both of these candidates there come a time that you see and hear the difference's one who talks to you with sincerity and without no telepromted speeches his speech writers have written for him, that the one in my opinion is telling the truth from the one who tells you what he thinks you want to hear because it's what he want you to hear, not scripted but straight talk, one on one questions and answers, not afraid to be off script from the speech writers note and comments, when I hear Obama the insencerity and retorics just make me want to throw up, compared to Hillary and McCain, there is not a ounce of knowledge to know what he is talking about, on energy, economics, foreign policy, nothing rings with any amount of knowledge on either subject, but on script he tells you he does, so why in all of those debate he fumbled and faltered about Iran, Isreal the middle east the oil prices's even the truth about the success of the surge in Iraq, goes to prove if it ain't written in his script he hasn't a clue about it, just hot air, the hot air candidate,it's so disturbing that so many americans and now europeans are caught up in the snow job, sprinkled in all of the liberal media because it sells and make money for them, the bottom line is the money that is poured in by those left wing liberals and those who can't see the forest for the trees, all those other to dumb to see through the smoke and mirrors, it will be a shame to see the liberal leaders of the DMC buy ther way into the white house, but the voices that see beyond the smoke and mirrors just don't have the media platforms like NBC CBS< CNN to openly have a fair reporting when they all tracked behind Obama on his trip and gave untold amounts of coverage to Mr. smooth talker, while McCain couldn't get the new york time to post his simply news statement, the money must very strong to get that much publicitity for a inexperenced dud like Obama, who's backing him is a mystery I and many more like me would like to know, and what do they gain and we lose, the big question.

This year was the year the Democrats would come back with power. There was no way a Republican President would be able to win in 2008. Well, with Barrack Obama as the Democratic Nominee, that is an unfortunate possibility. Of course, though, with an all Democratic Congress, along with the President, there would be no excuse for legislation to get passed, but, that's not the intent for crooked Democratic politicians with greasy palms.

The Clinton's have been the whipping couple for as long as I can remember. Obama hollers that no one should say anything about his wife, HELLO. In fact he whines about everything. I think his boasting speeches are going to bite him back. He has NO EXPERIENCE to take this job & I would bet money he knows it. Write in Hillary at the convention.

After seeing the debate the other nite, I am so sure that all those idiots that walk around praising Obama see just how much of a jerk he is, a fence straggler on every subject trying to look so smart and smug, quoting bible verses to make people think he's so spiritual, my dog is more spiritual, who was he fooling, he sat on that fence so as to not make his liberal left patronage think he wasn't being the politician that he , and left friends always knew he is, saying what he believed those people wanted to hear, the fact is he didn't fool anybody but himself, come november my wish and so many other like me get to see the DNC's and the liberal left's bubble burst and Obama goes down in flames and his fire gets deminished, and all those of the liberal left media and Obama idiots hold there heads in there hands crying my god what happened why did we lose, we had all the money we knew we had it all rapped up, we have the congress why didn't we win the white house, just to show those who all think we american are not so dumb after all.

Fala,

You have made a veiled threat which is on top of the caucus fraud, the non roll call fraud, and the misogyny a good way to totally dismiss the ruination of the democratic process. Hillary did NOT cause this and it's immature and ridiculous to say she should pay IF Obama loses. If he loses then he and ACORN did this and no one else. No one at all. He couldn't "win" it "fair and square" and the DNC cheated the voters.

Those caucus frauds are being investigated and it was wide spread. Really the truth is that he did NOT "win" he stole and he was helped by the corrupt party leaders and George Soros, and ACORN.

ACORN too is in trouble again for voter fraud. I heard today that on top of it all some delegates were threatened so severely at the non convention they were terrified and in tears. I believe it after the thuggery I've seen this so called "election"

You say Hillary will pay. I want to point out to you that this is the most abusive situation on a mass scale I've ever seen in my life time and to tell those voters so abused by this, and the women who had to experience the rampant misogyny that they will be further shut up and threatened IF Obama loses is more abuse. This behavior is so far away from what the "left" claims to stand for it's staggering.

yes, Hillary did and does deserve better and you know what? That thinking that SHE Is responsible now for people who do or do not vote for Obama is utterly illogical.

It is up to OBAMA to put his big boy pants on and convince voters himself. It is his campaign that broke laws and used these tactics that have turned off these voters. It is nothing whatsoever to do with Hillary. The responsibility is his and his alone. When you cheat people out of their votes, and cheat to "win" then some have been cheated are going to be pissed at you. Especially in America where the voice of the voters is supposed to be a sacred right. It's people who value that, and the fact that it has been fought for and died for who are questioning Obama and his crooked tactics.

This has NOTHING to do with Hillary and I for one am not going to be threatened anymore. I say to you that if Obama loses, and there is ANY consequence to anyone other than Obama then that is a threat and when you try to bully voters there will be a reckoning. People don't forget that.

This entire process has been so skewed and so corrupted that making statements such as you made here is now considered okay by many. If you think the American people are going to continue to be bullied the way Hillary delegates were you are mistaken. If you chose to harm a persons career all because someone ELSE is corrupt that is pure hatred and misogyny for absolutely no gain save, making you more immoral.

There will be an answering for this sort of thing. Voters rights are sacred in this country and people are allowed to vote as they chose. I for one do NOT trust Senator Obama one bit after what I saw his campaign do and after reading Dr. Lynette Long's caucus fraud reports. Acorn is once again in trouble for voter fraud and they worked with the Obama campaign...since when do we reward criminals in the voting process? After this is all over whether Obama wins or not. His campaign IS going to be exposed for what he did here.

The real shame is that his campaign was supposed to be "historic" and he has made a mockery of that.

Meanwhile Hillary was blamed for every single thing she did not do and he got a free pass.

So your answer is that we must stay silent and reward him for breaking laws and reward the DNC for being no better than the Chicago slime, crime machine? I say it's time to take over this party and send Senator Obama packing back from whence he came once and for all.

This is a disgrace and I'll tell you what, if you ever have a candidate who is so treated, if you have YOUR vote stolen to SELECT in dictator fashion someone you did not vote for, perhaps then you will see what people are trying to stand up to here. I hope that never happens to you, but it's a very real possibility if Obama wins because he will NEVER reform the corrupt caucuses that he gamed to win...there will be more of the same and we cannot sit silent for installing dictators in a democracy.

You need to inspect the facts here. This has nothing at all whatsoever to do with Hillary Clinton anymore. She is NOT part of what we are doing here...she is doing what she has to do and more for that sham candidate.

I for one don't care who anyone voted for. This sort of criminal thuggery and stealing of the election process cannot be allowed to go on or your candidate is next and no one's vote matters. Then it's no longer America at all. It's a dictatorship and we can just let some back room mafia types pick whoever they want and forget about voting.

well in my opinion the chicken are coming home to roost, the DNC with all there skuldugery still can't get there gloryboy over the top, in all my years I have never seen nor heard such low and decietfulness, the democratic party has sunk so low in how they have used the media to smear candidates and make rotten statements, I know politics can be pretty petty at time but this has been the worst ever, when we have had a minority candidate and women for the first time on the national stage to be subjected to the trash thats being done especially on the women is below the lowest form of sexisem, if you look at the way women are trashed for being capable enough to take on a job and be successful at it, and be ridiculed for being women is just unthinkable, but now a man who dosen't have the slighest capabilities,is treated as untouchable, do we have two standard one for a woman and another for a man, it seem so that the women were put up for ridicule and the one who has something that should be revealed is treated with kitt glove like he did no wrong, this country is going to the dogs, sorry to say, but we have reached rock bottom.

just think I was once a democrat, but man they have made me sorry that I ever was a part of that party, I heard of stupidity, but they have sunk to being lower than dirt, first they sunk the only viable candidate for a no experienced smooth talker who knows about anything and nothing, and now when they are on the ropes they sink deeper by slander and lies to put there incompitent nominee in the white house, now they stupe to sexism as a new weapon, plus put there boy up as jesus, I can't believe just how low we have come, when our elected offical make such stupid comments about the other parties candidates VP selection, boy those leftist media and supporters will do anything to rape this country, I can just hear just what other countries think just how dumb and stupid those american are, what has happened to the america of before, have we all lost our senses, and what spell has come over us to fall so low in the way we are acting for this incompitent inexperienced igotistical, snob we have all lost our common sense,as well as what little ever had, it seem the only sane persons are McCain and Sarah Palin, and I hope the get elected because those others have all gone to the stupid well and drunk the stupid juice, WAKE UP AMERICA OR DROWN IN THE STUPID CRAP.

As an African American I am one of those growing number of people who are not buying the DNC's nominee Obama, yes I know they want a democrat in the white house, but to actually try to sell this inexperenced incompitent egotistical snob and say this is the best we could find, well I don't buy it, when the leftist liberal political machine are trying so hard to convince the american people that this is the best, well we have had some of the best as presidents some were dems and some were reps, but they had some kind of history behind them, this man has only the corupt chicargo political machine behind him, and has never done or issued any policy or programs, but plenty of money to those political and corupt members and friends like bill ayers and tony rizco for fraudulent sudstandard housing which today are decaying from bad construction and substandard materials, yes he has accomplished something, which I call nothing, and this smooth talker want to do the same for america hand it over to more coruption, he not brilliant as Oprah calls him but another con artist who know what to sa y and who to say it to, on the letf side of his mouth what the left want to hear and on the right side what the right wants to hear, this is not someone I want or need to be president, I not like a lot of african american who can't see past the color, I say clean out your ears and listen to what is not said, that where the truth is, not the leftist liberal soundbites, it's those who will run the country, not your african american hero.

please tell me why the dems are so afraid of a little sockermom from alaska, I think it's because she's not the standard do as you say do woman, but an independent spirit, when she see a problem that needs fixing she fixes it, well that the kind of person we need not someone paid for and control by those who tell them what to and not to do, that's what make McCain and Palin different from the pack, they are independent spirited people, they are not afraid to stand up against the statis que, they see a problem and at any cost go about to fix it even if it goes against the party and it politics, if it smells rotten it is rotten, an stink can't hide, now on the other side we have the pack all in step to keep thing as they want it, they have no new plans just the same old spend and spend tax and tax under the guise of we are going rebuild america, or as they say fix a broken washington, well it's been two years since they have had control of the congress and nothing has changed, instead it has bogged down they could do anything to head off the gas problem or the economic condition that has the country in a bind titering on a recession, they want to say it was Bush,s fault, well they have had the reigns for the past two years, and it all in there watch, and what have they done to fix it only go on vacation, that was there way of fixing it, yes we need a new spirit in washington a maveric spirit thats not afraid to step on some toes even feet to get thing done, independent thinkers who no matter what it take to turn thing around will do just that, the dems are so divided by there left and moderate sides of the party, and now since the leftist side has there candidate nominated for the office the moderate side just marches along like good little foot soldiers just because they want to win the white house at any cost to the american people, that's not my choice I want and independent spirit that won't bow down, but do the right thing, McCAIN PALIN ARE JUST THE RIGHT TO DO THAT.

today I heard the Obama people whimpering again about dirty politics, isn't it a fact that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, DIRTY POLITICS THE LIBERAL MEDIA AND THE LIBERAL LEFT DEMS ARE THE MUD SLINGERS,ever since McCain pick Palin there has been nothing but dirt and smear driven tactics throw at the VP candidate, and Obama has the nerve to cry foul, I remember when they call Bill Clinton a racist, and every step or mistep Hillary made was a loud public statement of how much she was wrong for the presidency, now the dems will say that how politics go, but it strange to see when it's there shoes that are step on they cry foul, glass houses again, and this is the people that want to run this country, I DON"T THINK SO, the american people should have something better than what the dems are offering, inexperience and incompitence is not the one, and as far as Oprah goes she should have stuck to her position to stay out of politics, for someone who at one time I believed she was someone of a modest intelligence has proven me wrong again, she is now at the head of the pack of dumb idiots following the smooth talking egotistcal mr. incompitence, I hope the american people don't fall into that trap because we will have the next four years to clean it up.

it's sad enough when we have a bunch of celebs trying to act like politician and speaking from the lowest parts of the bodies, but the sadest part abiut they say they are intelligent and smart, well in my opinion there intelligence went out with bath water, to attack someone who mignt be the next president in four years is shamefull, the feminest who are so affended by her that they can't respect her as a woman, who is capable of doing a job, that was only held by men is in my opinion shows the american that it is possible for a woman to do the job, and it's not restricted to men only, america has been living in the past for so long, when it took 40 some years for the country to allow a woman to vote, and now when a women is selected to the position of VP they all start being catty and low lifed and insulting, I'd like to know why, because she not cut from the same mold as those who dislike her are, she has a independent spirit that has scared the democrats so bad that they must sink to such low standars, well I'm glad the McCain had the guts to see past the wall and make a great choice, he had the sence to make a right decision, of which Obama did'nt have the guts to do, McCain saw the time was right and took it upon himself to make the choice, he saw what this country needed not the good ole boys club but a change in the way america see it people both male and female both can make decisions in a lot of home it is the woman that make and controls the home, so why is it not possible to run a country, we have a lot of intelligent women doing some great thing, running companies and businesses and through the world women have ran governments as well, so why is it so hard to believe it can't be done right here in america, she did it in alaska so in my opinion Palin can and will do the job here also.
