The VP Stakes: Take Our New Poll: John McCain

As the conventions for the two major parties draw near, interest in who will be tapped as vice-president for each increases. This week our poll asks about Senator McCain's choice. Will he choose one of the candidates he defeated during the primary season? Will he choose someone who will help him win one of the swing states? Or will his choice be someone whose particular qualities complement his own governance?

Last week's poll results on Senator Obama's VP choice: 79% thought that Senator Obama would choose a candidate who would help him win a red state, 15% thought his selection would be a candidate who would assist him in governing effectively and just 6% thought his choice would be someone he defeated in the primaries.

Barrack doesn't need to look for a VP, he already has one " NANCY PELOSI ", she would make the perfect running mate for the little weasel !!! If you read aug." HARPERS BAZAAR ", the vacationing house speaker , who loves beautiful clothes and elegant shoes, thinks Barrack is the CATS MEOW, graceful and wellspoken. What more could anyone ask for in a running mate, but an admiring, adoring fan, who thinks the sun rises and sets in the GREAT ONE !!!! As far as Hillary goes, we all know, that without her on the ticket, Obama will be yesterdays news, but we all hope and pray, if offered, she will not take it, because he wil only USE her for his own political future !!! His Chicago history shows plainly, what a User this little weasel really is !!!!! He'll make sure, that you don't get ahead in your working life, but you can fix everything by INFLATING YOUR TIRES !!! ( That'll put dinner on the table, right !!!

I keep hearing pundits stating that Hillary would be the best VP for BO, but unlikely blah blah blah...Am I the only one who feels like it would be a betrayal if Hill accepts VP?? I absolutely hate the thought on so many levels: Bad for me, bad for her, bad for country! She can serve a much more meaningful role right where she is. Plus BO will probably (we-HOPE!)lose and she'll be associated with him forever! I could not bring myself to vote for him just because he "gives" her the VP spot. Please, Hillary, JUST SAY NO DEAL!

Looks like the little Prince is deflating and getting a wee bit testy here lately with the numbers tumbling down, and McCain holding his own , and even climbing a bit in the polls.!!! Well, well, well, maybe the chickens are coming home to roost after all, the night's still young, and we still have a few months to go.---It really makes NO DIFFERENCE who Obama's VP will be, one has to feel sorry for the poor schmock having to be associated with that imperial MORON !!!! The good, hardworking, selfrespecting Americans aren't going to vote for him anyway , NOBODY in his right mind wants a president who has such scary friends like Rev. Wright, Jim Ayres, Father Pfleger etc. --- Enough said !!!!

You are not alone out there - - a lot of us feel the same way. The only thing I fear are the very die-hard Hillary supporters that want her in Office anyhow and anyway. Being the VP would definitely not be in the best interests of Clinton or her avid supporters - - she has more power as a senator than she would as VP. The DNC would stick her in the House where Nancy Pelosi would be keeping her under her thumb. Nancy Pelosi does not want to share her power with ANY other female and I honestly believe that Nancy Pelosi sabotaged Hillary during the Primary to keep it that way.

If the DNC clinches the General Election, Hillary could do a lot of damage just by making their life a living hell crossing the aisle and taking the rest of the disgruntled Dems with her - - poetic justice.

Perhaps the DNC’s convention will have a few surprises - - especially if the book “The Case Again Obama” by David Freddoso comes out before the convention. Check it out at:

It seems the MSM doesn't want to ever open a can of worms in regards to their POLITICAL DARLINGS, that would be totally gauche, so I guess we all have to depend on the PROWESS OF THE ENQUIRER to get our in depth news on our " trusted, caring, babykissing " Politicians !!!! Yes, Yes, Yes, a politician is like a GLITTERY BOX, all shiny and sparkly, but "OH boy " look what comes popping out when you open it, a sneaky, dishonest, adulterous worm, deceptive in all his dealings with the unsuspecting, trusting voters who HAD NO IDEA they were beeing hoodwinked !!! What a shame to be so deceived by all the Glitz and Glamour, Lies and more Lies !!! Give me good old Dullsville anytime, at least thats safe !!!!

Hey, Great news: Just saw Geraldine Ferraro on Fox say, I think, "Hillary doesn't want that" refering to the VP. She spoke using our oft utilized "Country before Party" motto. She also called out the Obamabots for their arrogance in threatening to boo Hillary. Yeah! What a woman. Stay independent and true to yourself, Hillary, future Madame President!

Not having HRC as the VP only confirms what I thought about Obama and the Democratic leadership. They really do think women are invisible and don't count. On the other hand, now it makes voting for McCain just that much easier....Good job, Obama....

Lots is being written about Biden and what a good candidate for VP he is. He may be a nice guy, etc and David Brooks may be right about his heritage, but one thing I can attest to is that Delaware is one of the most dysfunctional states in the union.

My parents lived there for many years and our family only just managed to get them out of that state before their health care system killed them. Not only are doctors and hospitals in Delaware corrupt and in it for the money; but the state is so small that no one "bothers" any of the big players. (Since my father practiced medicine in the state, I know this from the inside....)

It, also, is the headquarters of many huge corporations, because Delaware is friendly to corporations. It undermines unions and equal opportunity law in favor of corporations' money-making interests. In the old days the corporations like Dupont used to "take care" of its workers, but no anymore.

Another interesting factoid about Delaware is that it has the highest per cap rate of drug addicted middle-class Americans. The kids of Delaware are a mess....

In short, once again, the Democrats have picked someone who looks good, but whose power and political roots are set in a morass of corruption, incompetence and corporate greed....

As an Obama supporter, I would like to congratulate all Hillary Clinton supporters on their record breaking primary campaign. This will surely give Hillary Clinton a far greater role in the Senate and guarantee her the Democratic Nomination for the Presidency in 2016! I hope, given those circumstances, that you will be proud of your vote in the primaries and in the general election.

Now we can really say " GO JOHN " !!!!

After all the SUSPENSE about O's VP, they serve up this old buzzard Joe Biden, what a LETDOWN . This guy is boring, dumpy, no magnetism, NOTHING but a potbelly with strands of greasy grey hair, that needs cutting and shampooing. YEEEEEKS !!! Whatever happened to GREAT CHEMISTRY and looking GOOD TOGETHER ??? Oh well, no matter how they spin it, this ticket is KAPUTT before it even gets off the ground. Now all John MCCain has to do is take a SMART PILL and either add a woman or a GOOD LOOKING Man to his ticket and he'll be flying into the WHITE HOUSE.--- 99% of salesmanship is HOW GOOD IT LOOKS , and those principles apply to voting as well......

I like to see McCain pick Hillary. They respect each other and she is a conservative Dem him a moderate Republican, they would be unstoppable. Hillary needs to stop being a nice guy and run as an Independent or run with McCain. There are no rules against McCain picking her. But one thing is for sure, there is no place for women anymore in the Dem. House. The DNC showed us the door. Any woman worth her salt, would tell the DNC to hiss their ASS.

NPT...I agree with you. I think Hillary never wanted the VP position, look what happended to Edwards (sex scandal aside) after loosing twice. Hillary will win in 2012 after Obama gets his act together, maybe the DNC really needs to loose three times to see the light--meanwhile it is us who have to pay for their stupidity. I will vote for McCain in 08, Obama character is all I need to know. He has disrespected Hillary supporters, and 53% of the party. Oh, if Hillary would only run as an Independent. I know if I was CEO of a company, the board wanted me out and 53% of the staff and customers said they would follow me, I would go running to start my own business (party)

The Democrats lost an opportunity to unify the Party and to strengthen BO's candidacy by picking Biden over HRC. I'm hoping that McCain doesn't make the same mistake by picking Romney. There are rumors about Colin Powell and possibly a woman VP for McCain. If McCain goes for either of those options he could really gain a lot with his VP pick. If he picks Romney, he will be playing it safe like BO and that would be disappointing and possibly harmful to his bid....

We all heard BO at Saddleback say that he didn't like Clarence Thomas as a Supreme Court Justice. We wouldn't have Thomas on the SC, if Joe Biden had been doing his job properly. He was Chairman of the Judiciary Committee then, and it was his decision to cut off testimony that would have corroborated Anita Hill's claims against Thomas. For details on just how badly Biden screwed this up read, "Strange Justice."

It is just this kind of saying one thing and doing something else that convinced me not to support BO a long time ago. He makes it up as he goes--just like Bush. He has so much more in common with Bush than McCain does--especially in his personality, leadership skills, morality and background. They are, after all, distant cousins....

So Obama's parents meet in Russian class. Why did anyone want to learn a alnguage of a communist country in the 60's. The place was no tourist attraction and you couldn't even get through that iron curtain without KGB officers trailing your every move.

His mom marries the Muslim and then chooses another Muslim as her second husband.

In college two Pakistan Muslims were his best friends and each donated 100k for him to run for state senate.

For his US senate bid, friend of Farrakan, Tony Rezco does a fund raiser to raise money for him to run.

This man scares me. I'm afraid to listen to him, fearing he might "suck me in" to his magnetic spell he has cast on half the country. (primarily naive college kids).

While I may not like BO, I just can not bring myself to vote for McCain. He is against everything we stand for as women. My vote is going to Nader.
