He has upset his MoveOn.org people by reneging on a promise he made to filibuster legislation letting communication giants off the hook in government-ordered wiretaps. And he has drop his use of the presidential seal. Finally, Ann Coulter, speaking on Laura Ingram's radio show, suggested (painfully) that a argument could be made that Hillary Clinton is (was) the best candidate. When you look at the stats for Senator Obama in Ohio he is doing much better with Senator Clinton on the ticket. Why does he want to risk losing 4 or 5 percentage points by alienating her supporters? It could mean the election. I guess they feel that seeing Senator Clinton campaigning with Senator Obama next week will make everything all right. It does nothing to address the real reason for these websites. The disgusting treatment of Senator Clinton. Senator McCain is a little to the right and Senator Clinton a little to the left in political ideology. I vote for a McCain-Clinton ticket. It has become clear that the people running this blog have become more concerned with keeping their name in the press and less concerned with what is best for the country, equal rights and for the policies that Hillary Clinton continues to fight so hard for. Obama's experience and resume are NOT impressive. His politics are not new, just regurgitated with an arrogant spin. If you compare BOs policies from the start of his campaign to what he is spewing today, he has done nothing more than copy most of Hillary's ideals and issues. And now he is refusing to even consider offshore drilling? That's just one of the many issues I question BOs judgment on. I continue to believe Hillary is the BEST candidate. As for the DNC, they have shot themselves in the foot with this presumptive nomination. I have NEVER voted republican on anything, but I will take the lesser of two evils and vote for Mccain in hopes that it sends the DNC a message. Am looking forward to 2012 and hoping that Hillary will run again. Whether you are Democrat, Republican or Independent, you should evaluate each candidate, regardless of their Party affiliation, and decide who best serves your interests. As an independent I have voted one other time for a republican in my 61 years. Since Obama does not have any principles and says nothing, it's very difficult to examine any credentials , values, or how he might run the country. Since he now has turned down our funding , and will only accept private funds it is more obvious to me that he intends to buy the presidency. What that means is he will belong to those "funders" if elected. McCain, on the other hand will belong to this country, the one that he served, spent six yrs in a vietnam "camp", and has served as A Senator for many yrs. He also seems to accept responsibility when he is wrong with statements that he was wrong on illegal immigration. So far, what I have read is that McCain is a decent, upfront kind of guy who will tell you like it is, not what you want to hear or nothing at all. He admits when he does not know or understand everything. I would encourage everyone who is disenchanted with Obama (who will not allow anyone to use his middle name,) or allow Muslim women in any of his pictures) to read up on McCain and not vote for McCain out of spite. I also am worried that people will stay home and not vote and Obama will win by default. I respect Hillary but simply cannot back Obama. There are other choices and even a choice to write Clinton in on the ballot. I encourage everyone to do a little homework and find the truth for yourself. I think many of you will vote for McCain if you examine his side of the story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540862250393681244.post-33070143621966173722008-06-19T16:23:00.000-04:002008-06-19T16:23:00.000-04:00Dear anonymous: An excellent idea!! John McCain is the best choice we now have for president. I am disappointed that Senator Clinton's democratic supporters are now backing Senator Obama. I guess it's politics as usual- sticking to the "old party line" instead of sticking to a "moral compass". I am attaching a video of myself taken by a reporter last friday at the Pemberton,NJ rally for John McCain. My picture has appeared in the local Asbury paper, the Boston Globe, and other newspaper and internet sites including citizens for mccain. I took my friend's Hillary poster to the McCain town hall meeting and stuck a McCain sticker on it. The AP photographers started snapping my picture.
